V2X Shared Virtual Array™ (SVA™) Disk System

The V2X Shared Virtual Array™ (SVA™) is the latest offering in StorageTek’s V-Series family of Virtual Disk storage subsystems for both the mainframe and open systems environment.

Storage capacity

• 3390 formatted virtual devices--Up to 11,624 GB
• Device images supported--4096 –3380-J/E/K and/or 3390-1/2/3 or 1365 –3390-9
• LUN sizes supported--2.6 GB or 7.4 GB,with increments of 2.6 GB or 7.4 GB or a max. single LUN size of 2,000 GB
• Effective user cache capacity--Up to 96 GB

Connectivity

• ESCON--Min.4 with increments of 2 or 4 to a max.of 32 ports
• Logical paths--8192 (512 per logical control unit)
• Fibre only--Min.4 with increments of 2 or 4 to a max.of 16 ports
• ESCON/Fibre Mixed--Min.4 ESCON ports and 4 Fibre ports,with increments of 2 or 4 ESCON ports or 2 or 4 Fibre ports,to a max.of 28 total ports
